Millefolia farm was born in 2016 on a shared farm on Île Bizard, in the Montréal archipelago. Family farmers, we grew for several years veggies and herbs for organic CSA baskets.
In 2024, we found the land to finally root the farm in. We a now dedicated to growing organic aromatic and medicinal herbs for artisans and herbalists who share our love for plants. Following our inspiration, we create herbal tea blends and culinary herb blends to add more herbs in people's lives.
Our herbs are bits of nature made to captivate senses and bring back the essential in our lives.
Both passionnate about ecology and agriculture, we met on a very inspiring agroecological and socially engaged farm far from Quebec, in northern India. Andreas was completing a bachelor degree in agriculture in Germany, near his Austrian birthplace. He was then already very into commercial medicinal herb cultivation. Sophie had just graduated in environmental sciences et was about to pursue research in soil science and phytoremediation. During those months in India, we both learned so much about seed saving, social and ecological impacts of GMOs, the importance of traditional growing methods and indian herbalism - ayurveda. Millefolia was hugely influenced by those learnings.
The herbs we grow invite to slow down, return to basics and make more room for nature in our lives. They are simple pleasures embedded in millenial human tradition.
Millefolia is our Wunderland, our wonderland, our "terre aux mille feuilles". It wouldn't be what it is without the precious support of family, friends, partners and customers. Thank you so much y'all.
